  6. NewsPro is an NNTP client designed for use with any Commodore-Amiga
  7. computer running Kickstart 3.0 or higher. Its features include:

  9.    · Operates in any display environment, supports all screen display modes
  10.  
  11.    · Amiga User Interface Style Guide compliant user interface
  12.  
  13.    · Supports Miami (tested) and AmiTCP V3.0 and above (untested)
  14.  
  15.    · Supports AmigaDOS wildcards for newgroup subscription
  16.  
  17.    · Select articles based on size, subject line content and article number
  18.      range
  19.  
  20.    · Maintains list of articles that have been read
  21.  
  22.    · Downloads articles into a newsgroup tree
  23.  
  24.    · Reads articles into a scrolling list
  25.  
  26.    · Sound cues provide audible feedback on status (using datatypes).

  29. This release is intended to allow others to see if a program like this is
  30. of any use to them for reading internet news. Some features are unfinished,
  31. however the program is completely functional. Most functions that are not
  32. implemented (finished) at this stage are ghosted in the user interface. The
  33. documentation describes configuration and operation.
